ANNO 1990 è la prima compilation a cura di Italo Italians Records dedicata a grandi canzoni del passato. Dal 2020 si vola al 1990: 10 band e producer che rileggono classici e chicche dimenticate. Si parte con Fab Mayday e i Depeche Mode, Waiting for the night scura e ipnotica seguito da Zero Call che trasforma The only one I know dei Charlatans in chiave elettronica. E’ il turno di Sid e di una Enjoy the Silence Hip Hop come non avreste mai pensato di sentirla, mentre Cuordileone recupera Hello it’s me di Lou Reed e John Cale per un risultato commovente. Momi prende Pump up the Jam e la trasforma in un anthem electro glitch. L’indie dei Conse applicato a Ciao Mamma è bello e felice, mentre Selene e Poca vanno da George Michael con voce e chitarra e Freedom diventa Soul come non mai. Bella Signora (nella sua versione singolo del ’90) in chiave garage è tra le più originali della compilation, I Barbacans prendono Gianni Morandi e lo mettono in una compilation Nuggets. I Locked In vanno a Washington Dc e Greed dei Fugazi è più attuale che mai. Chiudono gli Azione Diretta, e le notti magiche di Bennato sono tragiche sotto un cielo punk.
